HELPFUL
TIPS
Use natural indirect light, no flash.
Consider background - make it neutral.
Use a tripod to prevent blurred photos.
Use a slow film, 200, to ensure high quality/details
images.
If necessary be sure any fingerprints are removed
and that pieces are free of dust.
Get close! Paintings, Drawings, etc. should take
up the entire view through the view finder of
your camera.
Take photographs of artwork details and/or at
various angles
Consider the location from where you are shooting
- keep camera back parallel with the art to avoid
unwanted distortion of perspective.
Make sure the subject is not backlit, this causes
poor exposure and will not allow the photo to
show details and accurate color.
Take multiple shots; we suggest shooting one
roll of film per piece of artwork. |
